Itinenary

1.Short trips around:

For a short trip in about 2 or 3 hours, you can check in formation with our sales office by email or speak to our receptionist to give you price and information. Those trips are:discover Cat Ba town, Cat Ba local market, Cat Ba Cannon Fort, Cat Ba national park, Trung Trang cave, Hospital cave or some more interesting places in Cat Ba islands.

2. KAYAKING & SWIMMING IN LAN HA BAY 03 - 04 HOURS ( Tour code: LH002 )

08h30: our boat pick up you at Monkey Island Resort to transfer you to Lan Ha bay beautiful area.

09h00: start your kayaking around islets with spectacular beautiful sightseeing in the calm sea wave. You can come to a private small lagoon for swimming.

10h30: our boat takes you to visit fishing farm where you can see the real people life on floating houses on the sea all year around.

11h30: get on boat and go back to Monkey Island. End the tour.

3. RIDING BICYCLE VIET HAI VILLAGE - KAYAKING & SWIMMING LAN HA BAY (Tour code: LH003 )

09h00: our boat pick up you at Monkey Island Resort to transfer you cruising on Lan Ha bay to harbour of Viet Hai village.

10h00: get on land and here you will go by bicycle 6 km on a beautiful jungle road to come to Viet Hai village, an ancient village staying in the middle of Cat Ba national park. Walk around village, visit old houses and family, talk to children and local people...

Optional: you can go free to visit Viet Hai cave about 1 hour.

11h30: have lunch in restaurant in Viet Hai village.

13h: go back to harbour to get on boat. Continue your cruising on Lan Ha bay to a beautiful beach for swimming.

14h: arrive Van Boi area, go kayaking about 30 minutes then go swimming in the bay.

15h30: get back to the boat and then our boat takes you back to Monkey Island. You will arrive Monkey Island Resort at 16h15.

4. DISCOVER LAN HA BAY  - VIET HAI FISHING VILLAGE - 01 day trip ( Tour code: VH004 )

( Time is flexible and you can start this tour at another time like 08h30, 09h00 am)

10h00: our tour guide pick up you at Ben Beo harbour. Get on boat and it will cruise passing Cai Beo floating village, see many different islets and lovely beaches on Lan Ha bay to come to the area of Bright cave ( about 1.5 hours cruising).

Note: if you are staying on Monkey Island Resort we will pick up you at 09h30 am.

Kayaking Bright cave ( hang Sang)

11h30: go kayaking about 45 minutes to discover Bright cave. Get thought the cave, you will see a big lake surrounded by green mountains. You will feel the softly wave and sounds of silence nature.

12h30: go back to boat and have lunch when the boat is cruising passing through many amazing islets  to come to Viet Hai harbor.

14h00: get on land, you will go by bicycle about 6 km through a very beautiful lagoon, lovely forest road to Viet Hai village. Visit Viet Hai fishing village in the middle of Cat Ba national park. You will understand about local people culture and livings.

16h00: ride back to harbor with going through a cave, get back on boat. More cruise to Van Boi area where you will go swimming at a lovely  small beach

17h00: Boat takes you back to Monkey Island Resort, you will arrive at 17h45 pm.

5. GO FIGHING: ( Tour code: FS005 )

Our boat will start from Monkey Island Resort and take you to a floating house where you can seat on the bamboo chair to fish. Lan Ha bay is very beautiful and seating here in the bay is so ideal for relax time.

* If you join the longer tour of 4 hours, you will have time to travel on boat around in Lan Ha bay and visit floating houses in the bay.

6. GO FISHING AT LONG CHAU ISLAND & VISIT THE OLD LIGHT HOUSE ( Tour code: FS006 )

09h00: our boat pick up you at Monkey Island Resort to take you go around Lan Ha bay 10h30: arrive Long  Chau island where you start fishing in the calm water

12h00: have lunch on Long Chau island.

13h30: discover Long Chau light house on Long Chau island wich was built in the French time in 1894. It is about 30 metre’s long and stay at the hight of 109.5 metres on the top mountain of the island. Our guide will take you step up the

15h00: get back to the boat and then our boat takes you back to Monkey Island. You will arrive Monkey Island Resort at 16h30, tour ends.

 Reference: After being independent for many centuries, Vietnam was colonized by France from the mid 1800s until 1941, when the country was invaded and conquered by Japan. After the end of World War II in 1945, French attempts to re-establish control triggered 30 years of warfare, leading to the reunification of the country in 1975. Fortunately, the lighthouses were not usually seen as targets during the Vietnam War, and most of them survived the fighting without major damage. A few of the historic French lighthouses have been replaced, but most remain in service and are regarded as historic monuments. In general, Vietnamese lighthouses have resident keepers.

7. HARD TREK FROM CAT BA TO VIET HAI VILLAGE ( Tour code: HT 007 )

08h30: our boat and guide take you out of Monkey Island Resort to go to Beo harbor then you will go by bus to Cat Ba national park road.

09h15: you will start your trekking about 08 km in the forest, go through Frog pond and then reach Viet Hai village.

11h00: arrive Viet Hai village – a village surounded by mountains, forest and sea. You will discover the real life of local fishing village people. Learn how they are working on their rice field and how they go fishing to earn their lives. Spend time for visiting the old house that was made by special way with mix of mud and rice tree.

12h00: have picnic lunch in Viet Hai village with local food and vegetable.

13h30: we continue trekking from Viet Hai village throught the forest to Viet Hai harbour.

15h00: arrive harbour, you will get on boat to cruise throught Lan Ha bay to Monkey Island. You will arrive Monkey island at 16h00 pm. Tour finished.

8. ROCK CLIMBING ( Tour code: RC008 )

A. HALF DAY TOUR:

08h00: our boat take you from Monkey Island to Cat Ba town to join the group tour rock climbing:

8:30 AM – 9:00 AM ……………. Coastline ride into the small farming village of Lien Minh

9:00 AM – 9:30 AM …………… Basic instruction and introduction to Rock Climbing

9:30 AM – 12:30 PM…………… Guided Rock Climbing in Butterfly Valley

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM…………… Delicious lunch on a bee farm with fresh local foods

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM ……………. Return to Cat Ba Town

Our guide come to pick up you to Beo harbour for going by boat to Monkey Island Resort.
